WHO WE ARE
The Center for Public Enlightenment and Civic Education (CENPECE) is a non profit organization committed to reviving the Pan African vision and promoting democratic values across the continent. We believe that Africa’s growth depends on citizens who understand their rights, carry out their responsibilities, and participate actively in shaping governance.
CENPECE was founded to address gaps in civic education and public awareness. Many communities lack access to knowledge about civic duties, democratic processes, and the role of citizens in holding leaders accountable. We work to close this gap through education, dialogue, and community engagement.
Our Approach
We design civic education programs tailored to schools, youth groups, and grassroots communities.
We create platforms for public dialogue on governance, democracy, and accountability.
We train young leaders and community influencers to act as agents of civic responsibility.
Our Focus
CENPECE promotes a culture of participation, where every African sees themselves as part of the solution to the challenges facing their society.
Our programs strengthen trust in democratic institutions, foster unity, and encourage citizens to demand transparency and fairness.
